Directions & Maps
The location of our club grounds is Mill Road Sports Ground, Mill Road Colchester, Essex, CO4. We are located behind the Colchester Rugby Club grounds. Car parking is available on site.
To get to the grounds from the A12 junction 29 with the A120, first take the exit for Colchester off the roundabout
(A1232 - Ipswich Road). Follow this road down to the traffic lights and turn right. Follow this road to a
mini-roundabout; go straight over and continue down the road to the next roundabout. Turn left at this roundabout
in to Mill Road. Follow the road down to another roundabout. Go straight over - the Mill Road Sports Ground is on your
right shortly after. We are located at the far end of the sports ground. Drive down past the Rugby Club building - you should find
a gated gravel road to the left that runs down behind some houses. If the gate is locked turn around and park your car
in the car park near the sports ground entrance then continue on foot. If the gate is open you can drive down the gravel road to another
car park where you can park your car. The club huts are located further down another gravel road and are visible from
the car park.
The new junction 28 from the A12 may be more convenient for those arriving from the London direction. Take this junction and cross over the A12.
At the next roundabout take the first exit (Axial Way) and follow the road past the rear of our club grounds (Note: there is no entrance from here)
until you come to another roundabout. Turn right (3rd exit) and you will shortly arrive at another roundabout. Turn right again (3rd exit)
in to Mill Road. Follow the road down to another roundabout. Go straight over - the Mill Road Sports Ground is on your
right shortly after. We are located at the far end of the sports ground. Drive down past the Rugby Club building - you should find

The location for indoor shooting during the winter shooting season is at the Highwoods Sports Centre - at the Gilbeard (Brinkley Grove) School, Highwoods, Colchester. This is shown on the lower detailed map. To get to the Highwoods Sports Centre from the A12 junction 29 with the A120, first take the exit for Colchester off the roundabout (A1232 - Ipswich Road). Follow this road down to the traffic lights and turn right. Follow this road to a mini-roundabout; go left and continue down the road to the next roundabout. Take the 4th exit in to the school grounds and follow the road round to the car park. The entrance to the sports hall is located near to the barrier and cycle sheds where the entrance road turns sharp right in to the car park.
